Every Act of Generosity Counts

#GivingTuesday takes place on November 30th

Mark your calendars! We are excited to participate in Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year happening on Tuesday, November 30th.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

It’s a simple idea:

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

How can you support DVSAC this Giving Tuesday?

There are so many ways you can support our charitable cause and support victims working to overcome the trauma of domestic or sexual violence. Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Donate a service to a survivor in honor of #GivingTuesday. Whether it be a $15 toiletry packet, a $45 rape care kit, or a $300 Order of Protection, EVERY little bit makes a difference!
  • Volunteer your time. We have a wide array of ways in which your time can be a valuable asset in meeting our mission.
  • Provide notes or gifts of encouragement to our clients. Something as small as a $10 Starbucks gift card a message of support can turn someone’s day around.
  • Become a Hero of Hope and make the ultimate difference in the lives of victims working to become survivors.
  • Simply share. Simply sharing with your circle and social media can inspire others to give and change our community.
